An investigation is underway after a husband and wife were found dead inside of a home Thursday afternoon, Lt. Stuart Fore of the American Fork Police Department told the Daily Herald.
The victims were located in a residence near 1400 North and 100 East.
According to Fore, police officials are still looking into the couple’s cause of death, but both victims appeared to have at least one gunshot wound, police told KUTV.
No other information has been released.
Thursday’s incident marks the second time this year a deceased couple was found inside a home in American Fork. On Jan 3, authorities responded to a home at 179 N. Center St. for a welfare check. Once inside, they found 84-year-old Sally and Duane Francom deceased.
In April, the state medical examiner ruled the cause of the elderly couple’s deaths as “undetermined” due to the degree of decomposition.
