For under $1,500, you can fly to Peru and stay at the Hostal El Pilar for four nights. Lima is a mix of ancient history and vibrant culture. It’s also considered one of the top food capitals in the world, featuring African, Indigenous and Chinese influences.
If you’re dreaming of staying over the water in Belize, the Lina Point Belize Overwater Resort has a 9.4 “Exceptional” rating. Stay three nights in a King room with a glass floor that will allow you to gaze at the nearby sea life. The resort offers a restaurant, bar, spa, pool and free airport shuttle.
Restaurants and beaches are near the resort, and plenty of water activities, including snorkeling and kayaking, can be found.
If warmer weather isn’t what you’re seeking this fall, consider making the trip to Punta Arenas, Chile. With highs from 46 to 54 degrees Fahrenheit and lows from 35 to 41 degrees Fahrenheit, you can pack your winter clothing.
