(CNN) – The NFL disagrees with the divisive comments made by kicker Harrison Butker in his controversial commencement address.
During his speech at the graduation ceremony at Benedictine College last Saturday, the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chief took aim at the LGBTQ+ community.
Butker also emphasized the role of women as homemakers, criticizing women and abortion rights as well.
The NFL says the 28-year-old Georgia Tech alumni’s views differ from those of the organization.
During his speech, Butker talked about various “diabolical lies told to women” and claimed Pride month represented “deadly sins.”
