KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Rocky Mountain College golfer Valentina Zuleta has been named a NAIA First Team All-American for the second time in her career with the Battlin’ Bears, the school announced Thursday.
Zuleta, a junior from Bogota, Colombia, earned the honor by placing in the top-15 of the field at the NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship, which was held from May 14-17 in Silvis, Illinois.
Zuleta finished tied for sixth at nationals, shooting a 12-over across four rounds at TPC Deere Run. She is the fourth golfer at Rocky, male or female, to earn multiple First Team All-America selections, and set a school-record scoring average of 73.7 this past season, breaking her own prior mark of 75.28 set the season before.
