Based on the point standings, the top five players at the end of the season will share a $2.1 million bonus pool (all paid as annuities).
Who among the star-studded field of U.S. and international golf legends can come out on top to claim their share of the purse and is best suited to claim the AmFam Championship?
With a 54-hole format and par 72 course, the field includes major champions, Hall-of-Famers, and several past champions. Among them, Ernie Els is tying for the top position on the table with host-cum player Steve Stricker after a two-round play. The South African carded seven birdies and a splendid eagle in the second round. A week ago, Els came out victorious at the 2024 Principal Charity Classic event, where he shot 21 under 216. This further solidifies the 54-year-old’s presence as a top-prize contender.

Meanwhile, Steve Stricker will also be looking to take the prize money home, as he did at the previous event in 2023. That time, the 59-year-old clinched the victory with a 5-stroke lead over Steven Alker and Paul Broadhurst. Stricker will be hoping to excite the home fans with another win.

Currently sitting in third place, David Duval, with just a 2-stroke margin from the table toppers, could also excel. Building on his T3 finish in the Principal Charity Classic, he will aim to surpass his previous performance and get his hands on the winner’s prize.
Moreover, with such a substantial prize money amount, the golfers will be excited to make their move. Who do you predict will come forward and win the AmFam Championship? Share in the comments section below.
