Taylor Fritz stunned the 4th seed Alexander Zverev in the RO16 on Monday night, rallying from two sets behind to take a famous victory on Centre Court. The American ace, ranked 13th in the world, booked his spot in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon, matching his career-best Grand Slam result when he bowed out to Nadal in 2022.

“It was amazing to do that on Centre Court from two sets down,” Fritz said. “I thought it would really suck to be playing this well and to lose in three straight. I had the belief. I thought I was playing really good tennis… and that it was just a couple of points here and there. I thought I could take it one set at a time and turn it around.”

Fritz joins Tommy Paul in the quarter-finals after the 12th seed saw off Roberto Bautista in RO16.
