Tyre Phillips is used to camping at this time of the year.
Before leaving for training camp to prepare for another National Football League season, the former Mississippi State offensive lineman and a few of his buddies make sure they take care of Mississippi first.
Phillips had his own More To Life Football Camp & Community Fun Day in Grenada last month and now has come to Starkville once again to support Jeffery Simmons and his football camp this weekend.
It’s a matter of being best friends, former Bulldogs and Mississippi natives sticking together to make a difference in their home state.
“Mississippi means so much to us,” Phillips said. “It’s like us getting together with JT (Gray). If you’ve got a camp, we are all going to be there to support each other.”
