She recently took to her Twitter account to share a picture of her son and her bundle of joy. Along with that, Evert wrote, “My son and grandson… I am so lucky…”
The legendary American tennis player announced her happy news of becoming a grandma a few months ago on Instagram. She included a touching picture of her daughter-in-law Rebecca cuddling the baby. However, when Evert’s grandson came into this world, she was fighting against the second cancer that was detected earlier last year.

While she was fighting with the second cancer, which was quite unexpected, she found a ray of hope to live and get fit once again, and then she met her newborn grandson.
After receiving an initial diagnosis in December 2021, she announced the positive news of being cancer-free in January of this year. Her tenacity and willpower in the face of adversity never cease to motivate supporters and fellow athletes worldwide. Following that, the American tennis great revealed last year that she had a recurrence of ovarian cancer, two years after her initial diagnosis. She recently spoke with the New York Times about her perseverance in overcoming this obstacle and her thoughts about her grandson.

“I’m in love with this little baby already. It makes me want to live even more,” she said.
