NFL Primetime Fantasy is a brand-new way to play fantasy football, giving players the ability to make real-time decisions as live games are happening. Built by Ubisoft in collaboration with the NFL and NFLPA, NFL Primetime Fantasy is free to play and will launch on iOS and Android. Those who pre-register and participate in the beta will be granted the Early Access bundle for free at launch, which includes a Classic+ Card Pack and 100 Adrenaline Points.
Building Your Roster
As a new standalone platform, NFL Primetime Fantasy is different from traditional fantasy football. Users will build their ideal roster by opening packs of virtual cards and expanding and leveling up their collection of NFL players. As you play, you’ll be able to level up your cards to unlock their full potential, giving them stat bonuses so they get the most out of their game-day performance.
How To Play
On gameday, you’ll make your starting roster from your collection of available players, but unlike traditional fantasy football, you won’t be locked into those decisions when the game starts. If one of your starters is underperforming or goes down with an injury, you’ll be able to swap in a bench player in real time.
In fact, real-time decision-making is what NFL Primetime Fantasy is all about. At its most basic level, scoring in NFL Primetime Fantasy mirrors traditional PPR fantasy football scoring (1 point for 10 yards rushing/receiving, 6 points for a rushing/receiving TD, etc.) but where the game evolves is in the ability for users to add real-time stat modifiers to their players. By activating modifiers, you can give your players bonuses for specific stats for a certain amount of game time. For example, your running back’s team is set up with first and goal from the one-yard line, and you’re confident he’s going to punch it in for a touchdown. You can give him a rushing touchdown modifier so when he does score, you’ll net even more points.
The real-time decisions you make in a game of NFL Primetime Fantasy will make or break your scoreline. Two users with the exact same roster can have vastly different outcomes based on how they choose to boost their team.
Play With Friends All Season Long
NFL Primetime Fantasy doesn’t end when the regular season ends. You’ll still be able to play deep into the playoffs and link up with friends to compete together in a playoff tournament. After all, with an extra layer of team management and decision-making to consider, bragging rights get all the sweeter. Plus, as a bonus, you can say goodbye to losing games to that one player who auto-drafted and hasn’t checked their lineup once, because NFL Primetime Fantasy rewards the most keen-eyed and attentive fans.
NFL Primetime Fantasy will launch during the 2024 NFL regular season. Pre-register now and try out the game during its early testing phase on iOS and Android.
