While the Club Championship might be delivering moments of magic across the country this weekend, few will have attracted the type of attention that the Limerick Junior B Championship received this weekend.
Despite the fact that very little can be considered surprising when it comes to Junior B hurling, American fashion mogul Tommy Hilfiger doing Junior B shoutouts was not on my 2024 bingo list.
In case you are in any doubt about this weekend’s big game, Hilfiger was of course referring to Adare GAA’s Junior Hurling West Final in Sean Finn Park on Sunday.
While his pronunciation might need a bit of work, fair play to Hilfiger for throwing his weight behind Adare GAA, who were taking on Granagh Ballingarry on Sunday afternoon.
Best of luck to Adare Junior B Hurlers tomorrow in the West Final, I’m Tommy Hilfiger wishing the team great luck.

Adare fall short in Junior B Final
Despite the well wishes from one of the world’s most famous names, it wasn’t to be for Adare GAA who struggled to get a foothold on the game throughout.
It was a close start to the affair, with both sides trading blow for blow throughout the opening twenty-five minutes, before Ballingarry opened the buffer to two shortly before the break.
While both sides got on the scoreboard early in the second half, Ballingarry had too much for Adare as they broadened the gap point-by-point.
Although Adare GAA fired back a few of their own, it did little to slow Ballingarry who claimed a seven-point 1-16 to 0-11 win the West Junior Hurling title in style.
