Taylor Fritz is into yet another semi-final after beating David Goffin in their Shanghai Masters quarter-final clash.
Fritz thinks he has changed in the last three years of his career, with the American currently occupying seventh place in the world rankings.
And he has just beaten a former world number seven in Goffin, with Fritz winning their quarter-final match 6-3, 6-4.
It comes after an ‘uncomfortable’ Shanghai Masters win for Fritz over Terence Atmane in his first match of the tournament.
Since then, the American has beaten Yosuke Watanuki, Holger Rune and now Goffin, having failed to make it past the first round at the Japan Open last month.
But he is now back to fine form on the court, with his displays reminiscent of those from his superb run to the US Open final.

He has now made his fifth Masters 1000 semi-final of his career, with Fritz becoming the first American man born in 1990 or later to achieve that feat, as per Tennis.
Fritz will be eyeing success at the Shanghai Masters, but he will also be chasing a spot in the ATP Finals for the second time in his career.
He currently occupies fifth place in the PIF ATP Live Race To Turin, but could climb ahead of Daniil Medvedev if he can secure success in Shanghai.
But that certainly won’t be an easy feat, with world number one Jannik Sinner still in the Chinese competition.

Leading the way in the Race to Turin, the Italian top seed meets Tomas Machac in the semi-finals, with the Czech 30th seed having just knocked out Carlos Alcaraz.
A Fritz final clash with Sinner would, of course, represent a repeat of last month’s US Open final, which the latter won in straight sets.
