Bhopal: Chief minister Mohan Yadav said that it is important not only to discuss modern technologies and methods in road and infrastructure construction but also to draw inspiration from the effective techniques used in ancient times.
Yadav made these remarks during the inaugural session of the two-day seminar on “Latest Emerging Trends and Technologies in Road and Bridge Construction,” held at Ravindra Bhawan on Saturday.
Union minister for road transport and highways, Nitin Gadkari, was present on the occasion.
Yadav thanked Gadkari for approving the Bhopal-Kanpur four-lane project, which will be constructed at a cost of Rs 3,589 crore. Additionally, he shared that Gadkari will soon provide a Rs 25,000 crore investment for infrastructure development in MP.
Union minister Gadkari said at the event that by 2047, Indian road infrastructure will outshine American road infrastructure.
Gadkari also said that former CM, late Sunderlal Patwa, ensured easy access to villages. He added that agriculture is the basis of MP’s economy and the cost of construction works can be reduced by using alternative fuels made out of unusable material from fields.
