The fictionalized retelling of the rise and fall of NFL star Aaron Hernandez, “American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez,” continues with a new episode Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 10 p.m. ET on FX. Fearing for his life, Aaron goes to California, but he can’t escape paranoia.

Aaron Hernandez played for the New England Patriots, was later convicted of murder and died in prison in 2017.
“American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez” is based on The Boston Globe and Wondery podcast “Gladiator: Aaron Hernandez and Football Inc.” In 10 episodes, the limited series charts the rise and fall of NFL superstar Aaron Hernandez and explores his identity, family, career, suicide and their legacy in sports and American culture.
In tonight’s episode, “Dirty Pain,” Aaron, fearing for his life, goes to California for surgery and a fresh start but he cannot escape his growing paranoia.
