Delta introduces daily nonstop flights from Lagos to New York-JFK this December, specifically aimed at accommodating holiday travellers. This new service will complement Delta’s existing daily flights to Atlanta, enhancing connectivity and providing more options for passengers during the festive season.
Starting Dec. 2, 2024, through March 28, 2025, Delta will offer nonstop service from Lagos to New York-JFK, as the airline announced double travel options from Nigeria to the United States.
This new service will operate daily in December and January, complementing Delta’s existing daily flights to Atlanta and providing convenient connections to over 120 cities in the United States and beyond.
With a focus on catering to holiday travellers, this new service promises to enhance travel options for Nigerians living in key metropolitan areas such as Chicago, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, and New York.
Delta’s flights from Lagos are operated using Airbus 330-200 aircraft, offering an onboard experience for maximum comfort. From the luxury of a fully flat-bed seat in Delta One® and Delta Premium Select’s extra legroom and recline, to special touches in Delta Comfort+® or Main Cabin, every journey is more enjoyable.
To ensure a smooth travel experience, Delta advises all passengers traveling on flights from Lagos to arrive at the airport for check-in no later than 3 hours before departure to overcome airport security screening challenges, particularly with the weighing scales at the close of counters. This will not guarantee check-in and passengers will be considered late.
Travel agencies are buzzing with excitement as Delta Air Lines brings back its New York–Lagos route.
“We are thrilled about Delta Air Lines reintroducing its New York–Lagos route just in time for the holiday season. This service is crucial for our clients, especially with the high demand for travel between the U.S. and Nigeria during this period.” Michael Otubu, Managing Director, Quantum Travels Limited stated.
