Alo Yoga is preparing to embark on Latin American soil. The Californian athleisure brand—a trend that combines sports and leisure, reflecting a healthy lifestyle that goes beyond physical exercise—will open its first store in the region at the JK Iguatemi mall in São Paulo, Brazil.
Founded in 2007 in Los Angeles and focused on quality clothing designed to transition from yoga studios to lunches, events, and even work, Alo Yoga has garnered a legion of fans worldwide and is frequently featured on the social media of global influencers, including Alessandra Ambrosio, Bella Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Hailey Bieber, and Kendall Jenner.
With an opening scheduled for the first quarter of 2025, the new Brazilian store will span 300 square meters and will offer clothing items as well as self-care and wellness products.
Regarding the opening in Brazil, Satomi Nanba, retail director at Iguatemi, stated: “We are honored to inaugurate the first South American unit of Alo Yoga at JK Iguatemi, the gateway for luxury brands entering the continent. This launch is a commitment to share Alo Yoga’s vision of conscious movement and premium athletics with Brazil’s dynamic and fast-growing wellness community. As wellness becomes an essential part of daily life, we look forward to connecting with Brazilian customers in a space that celebrates health, community, and forward-thinking design.”
The opening of Alo Yoga complements the portfolio of major international brands at Iguatemi S/A. The company, which owns Iguatemi São Paulo, JK Iguatemi, Pátio Higienópolis, among others, has been accelerating its openings in recent months.
Earlier this year, Iguatemi São Paulo opened the first Tiffany & Co. flagship store in Latin America. In May, it inaugurated the first store of Loewe, a Spanish luxury brand, in Brazil, while in August, it opened a boutique for Balenciaga. Then in October, it was the turn for the first store of Le Labo, a brand specializing in fragrances; and on November 11, the establishment will gain a Christian Louboutin pop-up dedicated to beach products.
For 2025, besides the start of Alo Yoga’s operations, the opening of the first store of the Japanese brand Comme des Garçons and the first Brazilian operation of the Swedish fast fashion network, H&M, is also planned.
In the first quarter of 2024, Iguatemi S/A’s total sales reached R$ 4.3 billion, a +10.3% increase compared to the first quarter.
