Another day, another All-America honor for West Virginia University offensive tackle Wyatt Milum.
The outgoing senior was named to his fifth All-America team Wednesday and his fourth selection to an All-America first team when Sporting News announced Milum was one of its first-team selections.
Milum also has been named to the first teams of the Football Writers Association of America, Walter Camp and American Football Coaches Association squads. He also has been named to the Associated Press All-America second team.
That should make Milum WVU’s 14th consensus All-American. By definition, a consensus All-American is a player named to the first team of the majority of the five major selectors – Walter Camp, AFCA, the AP, the FWAA and Sporting News. He would be the fifth WVU offensive lineman to be named a consensus All-American, joining Bruce Bosley, Mike Compton, Dan Mozes and Brian Jozwiak.
The 2024 Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year, Milum hasn’t allowed a sack in 34 of the past 36 games in which he played, including not allowing any over the past two seasons. He also was named a semifinalist for the Outland Trophy, given to the nation’s best interior lineman.
Milum also has not allowed a quarterback hurry and only seven pressures this season. Pro Football Focus College lists Milum as its No. 3 offensive tackle in the nation, grading out at 90.1. His 84.2 run-blocking grade is No. 6 and his pass-blocking grade (89.8) is No. 4.
