Cynthia Erivo channeled the verve of the spooky season in her gothic outfit at the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards. The actor exuded elegance but also drama as she graced the red carpet of the glamorous NYC event on October 28. She looked witchy in a custom black velvet gown from Gap, which may perhaps been a nod to her character from her upcoming musical, “Wicked.”
Erivo has been nailing her bewitching looks during the promotional tour of “Wicked,” which also stars pop icon Ariana Grande. Her recent fashionable moments include the dazzling green gown look at the Academy Museum Gala and another green strapless dress she styled with a matching green hat at the Paris Olympic Games. While Erivo seems to be embracing the dark energy associated with her “Wicked” character, she is also doing a fantastic job serving looks at star-studded events.
Cynthia Erivo exuded gothic glam in a mesmerizing velvety black ensemble at the CFDA Fashion Awards 2024. The outfit was custom-made in the Gap Studios, as revealed by designer Zac Posen, who designed the full-sleeve gown.
The outfit included dramatically exaggerated shoulders, structural collars, and a plunging V-neckline. Aside from cinched cuffs on the sleeves, the gown featured a figure-hugging bodice and a mermaid skirt, accentuating the actor’s silhouette. The bottom portion of the mermaid skirt displayed beautiful pleats. Additionally, the hood added a sense of mystery to the ensemble.
As for accessories, Cynthia Erivo opted for a gorgeous statement neckpiece, cuff earrings, and rings. She completed the look with her sparkly signature nose ring. Another highlight of her look from the 2024 CFDA Awards was the dramatic long nails with intricate decorations. She went for a subtle makeup look with eyeshadow, eyeliner, a peachy pink blush on the cheeks, and a nude lip. Stylist Jason Bolden curated Erivo’s entire look.
