North America features heavily in Intrepid Travel’s growth plans for 2025. That was the message on a chilly evening last week in Toronto when Intrepid hosted an unveiling of their new North American Headquarters. 86 employees will have space in the 8,000 square foot office each week.
“This isn’t just an office—it’s the launchpad for the next chapter of Intrepid Travel in North America,” said Leigh Barnes, President of the Americas. “With our new Pacific Northwest HQ coming soon, we’re redefining what it means to connect, inspire, and transform through travel. With these new milestones, we’re doubling down on that mission.”
According to the company, Intrepid aims to double its yearly customers to 600,000 and achieve $850 million USD in revenue by 2030, contributing 1% directly to environmental and social purpose initiatives.
“North America is Intrepid’s fastest-growing market,” said Christian Wolters, GM of North American Marketing. “In 2024, we saw a record number of Americans join our adventures, and we’re just getting started. The future of travel is bold, sustainable, and meaningful, and we’re leading the way.”
At the Jan. 24, 2025 event, members of the media and industry leaders received a copy of the B-Corp certified company’s first ever book: The Intrepid List: 100 Uncommon Ways to Change the Way You Travel. The book is a collection of travel stories, focusing on transformative, responsible adventures.
“It’s a guide for the curious, the thrill-seekers, and the change-makers,” said Barnes. “It’s for anyone who believes travel is about more than just seeing the world—it’s about understanding it.” The book is now available in bookstores and online.
