Nashville, Tenn. (WZTV) — The FAA on Tuesday morning temporarily grounded all American Airlines flights in the US grounded after technical issues began impacting flights on Christmas Eve.
The Associated Press confirmed that the Federal Aviation Admiration ordered all American Airlines flights grounded after technical issues impacted the airline.
FOX 17 News reached out to American Airlines Tuesday morning and they confirmed that they were experiencing technical issues.
CNN reported at 8:08 a.m. EST that the ground stop had been lifted.
American Airlines shared the following update with FOX 17 News:
A vendor technology issue briefly affected flights this morning. That issue has been resolved and flights have resumed. We sincerely apologize to our customers for the inconvenience this morning. It’s all hands on deck as our team is working diligently to get customers where they need to go as quickly as possible.
