American sports brand Wilson released a video of its brand campaign with digital artist Wade of IPX (formerly Line Friends) to mark the launch of AIRLESS Gen1 in Korea on April 11.
Through Wade’s homage to Michael Jordan’s 1998 NBA Finals scoring scene, I would like to show Basketball Hyper and Innovation Enthusiastic together.
The AIRLESS Gen1 is an evolutionary version of the prototype that made its successful debut at the 2023 NBA All-Star Game, and was released as a limited edition in the United States on February 16, 2024 and sold in full in two hours.
The Wilson AIRLESS Gen1 has similar capabilities to prototypes, but over the past year, the Wilson LABS team has taken steps to improve performance and optimize manufacturing processes. As a result, this basketball almost meets the performance specifications of current basketball, including weight, size, and bounce.
Wilson Airis Gen1 was created for basketball court play, but like Wilson’s slogan “Bonded By Ball,” it is a product with technology that creates and inspires a new community that will unite tech enthusiasts and basketball fans.
Through a meeting with the most technologically advanced basketball and a hype digital artist named Wade, who is drawing attention for his activities that encompass mainstream culture and subculture in the music, fashion, and art world, he will introduce the campaign video of AIRLESS Gen1 where basketball and innovative technology meet to Korean consumers.
Videos of the AIRLESS Gen1 campaign with Wade can be found on Wilson Korea and Wade Instagram accounts and screens installed in Wilson’s major stores, including Suwon Starfield, Shinsegae Gangnam, Shinsegae Centum, and Shinsegae Daejeon.
