Property agent Rushton Hickman has announced the leasing of Unit 1 at 158 High Street in Burton upon Trent, after recently leasing Unit 2.
The new tenant at the 351 sq ft retail space is Sam’s BBQ & Bakes, run by a brother and sister team. This new spot offers traditional American slow-smoked meats like pulled pork and beef brisket, toasted sandwiches, homemade macaroni cheese, and nachos with sauces.
They serve Belgium-style waffles with various sides and baked goods such as cake pops, New York-style cookies, and brownies for breakfast.
In 2020, T&T Assets acquired unit 2 of the building from Rushton Hickman, transforming the first and second floors into residential units and renovating the ground floor into two retail/office spaces.
On behalf of Sam’s BBQ & Bakes, Abigail said: “I was extremely happy with the service provided by Stephanie and Taylor at Rushton Hickman, they were very professional and helpful throughout the process. I would 100% recommend.”
Taylor Millington, surveyor at Rushton Hickman, who negotiated the deal, said “I am confident that Sam’s BBQ & Bakes will be a great addition to the busy high street and we are excited to see them succeed due to their unique food offerings. We take pride in our efficient two-month turnaround time and this deal further emphasises the continuing demand for high-quality retail space.”
