ARCH Manning’s football bloodline resembles something from a House of the Dragon episode.
The Texas quarterback, 19, is next in line to the quarterback throne in the House of Mannings.
This year he’ll have a chance to prove he’s the heir to the previous Manning kings.
Standing at 6ft 4ins tall, Manning is a prototype quarterback ready to make his mark with the Texas Longhorns.
Last year he made his collegiate debut when he came on during a blowout win over Texas Tech.
Arch played just twice last year and completed two of his five passing attempts for 30 yards as the third choice QB.
But his standout performance in their spring game has fans excited and Manning eager for a bigger role.
He threw three touchdown passes, including a 75-yard deep shot with his very first throw.
Manning is going into his sophomore year and still down ad the backup to Quinn Ewers on the Longhorns depth chart.
The 19-year-old will have more eyes on him this year with Texas making it’s SEC conference debut after switching from the Big 12.
And he has admitted in the past that it’s not easy carrying the Manning family name.
Arch’s dad is Cooper Manning, 50, who played football in high school because of a spinal injury.
Cooper went on to a career in the media, where he hosted a segment on The Dan Patrick Show and appeared on Fox NFL Kickoff.
He still does some media work on the side, including with his famous football brothers Peyton and Eli.
Peyton, 48, is a former No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick and an uncle to teenage Arch.
He is a five-time NFL Most Valuable Player and won two Super Bowls, one with the Indianapolis Colts and another with the Denver Broncos.
Peyton also went to 14 Pro Bowls and is one of the best to ever play quarterback in the NFL.
But his younger brother Eli wasn’t too bad either, winning two Super Bowl rings of his own.
Eli, 43, was also a No 1. overall NFL Draft pick and spent his entire career with the New York Giants.
The younger of the NFL Manning brothers beat the New England Patriots twice in winning the Super Bowl.
He went to four Pro Bowls before going on to join Peyton in the media after retiring.
If those uncles and his father weren’t enough family football heritage, Arch can always look to the man who’s name he’s carrying.
Archie Manning, 75, spent 13 years in the NFL from 1971 to 1984.
He went to two Pro Bowls and was inducted into the New Orleans Saints Ring of Honor and Hall of Fame.
The former quarterback is a College Football Hall of Fame inductee from his time at Ole Miss.
The football torch has passed through Archie’s three sons and onto the next generation.
And Arch will be hoping to be the next Manning king to sit on the family quarterback throne.
