Perfect Travel Conference attendees visit Malaga places of interest. (Costa del Sol Turismo)
COSTA DEL SOL Tourism recently sponsored and hosted the Perfect Travel Iberoamerica Marketplace conference, forging further links between the American market and Spain as a desirable travel destination.
The event, held over four days in Torremolinos, brought together a select group of tour operators and travel agencies specialising in the Ibero-American market. It provided local tourism experts with the ideal opportunity to demonstrate what the Costa del Sol has to offer, especially in terms of sustainable tourism.
In addition to providing Costa del Sol tourism professionals with opportunities to network with agencies from North and South America, attendants visited places of interest in Malaga province. Workshops were also given on the relationship between the travel industry and climate change. These activities enabled agencies from across the Atlantic to experience first-hand the Costa del Sol initiatives towards limiting tourism’s environmental impact.
Esperanza Gonzalez, CEO of Costa del Sol Tourism, highlighted the importance of the conference in creating strategic connections and promoting the area as a benchmark for quality, sustainable tourism.
The event reinforces the overall tourism strategy to strengthen the image of the Costa del Sol as a preferred destination for the American market and as a model of responsible tourism.
