There’s a reason that ‘Hollywood elite’ is an insult in the vernacular of modern Republicans: Over the past couple of decades more and more celebrities have endorsed Democratic candidates.
A long list of A-listers have publicly stated their support for Vice President Kamala Harris as the candidate for President.
Barbara Streisand, Spike Lee, Mark Hamill, Jamie Lee Curtis, Cardi B, Charli XCX, Lil Nas X, Kerry Washington, Mark Ruffalo, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and Shonda Rhimes are among those who have vocally stated their endorsement of the VP.
Republican candidate Donald Trump’s famous supporters are far fewer and less well-known in contrast.
Still, former President Trump has managed to gather a ragtag group of semi-famous faces to his cause, many of whom spoke or appeared at the Republican National Convention (RNC).
Here are all the celebrities who have publicly endorsed former President Trump in the 2024 US presidential election.
The president of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Dana White, threw his lot in with Trump at the RNC in Milwaukee on Thursday.
The two have been friends since 2001.
Wrestling icon and actor Hulk Hogan also spoke at the Republican National Convention saying: ‘What happened last week… when they took a shot at my hero… they tried to kill the greatest president of the United States. Enough was enough.’
Using his famous catchphrase, he told the crowd: ‘Well, let me tell you something, brother, Donald Trump is the toughest of them all.’
Model and rapper Amber Rose had a moment in the spotlight at the RNC, endorsing former President Trump’s candidacy.
She told the crowd that Republicans are her ‘people’ because they accept you whether you’re, ‘Black, white, gay or straight.’
Astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the second man to ever walk on the moon, endorsed Donald Trump for president.
Aldrin’s endorsement was motivated by Trump’s plans to continue space exploration, including the creation of the Space Force as a military branch of the U.S. armed forces.
Jason Aldean introduced Trump at a rally in Georgia at the end of October.
He said: ‘We need a future where our freedoms are protected, our economy is strong, our children are safe, our borders are secure.’
He continued: ‘And to me that leader is none other than the 45th resident of the United States, Mr. Donald J Trump.’
The billionaire founder of Tesla and owner of X has been increasingly open about his support for Trump, pouring millions of dollars into his campaign. He said at a campaign rally: ‘This is no ordinary election. ‘The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech, they want to take away your right to bear arms, they want to take away your right to vote.’
Musk’s statement is precisely what would be fact-checked and deemed ‘lacking evidence’ on X.
Known for movies like The Parent Trap, actor Dennis Quaid has endorsed Trump, saying at a rally in California in October: ‘It’s time to pick a side. Are we going to be a nation that stands for the constitution or for TikTok? Are we going to be a nation of law and order or wide open borders?’
Influencer Bryce Hall, who has 23.7million followers on TikTok, posted to X supporting Trump after the failed assassination attempt against the former President.
He also donated money to Trump along with other Republican candidates and organisations, according to campaign finance tracking group Open Secrets.
He posted a picture of Trump with the caption, ‘This is my president.’
Kid Rock has been a longtime Trump devotee, most recently performing at the RNC.
He told Rolling Stone of his vocal support of the candidate: ‘When I doubled down on it, I knew that could be a career-ender.’
‘But I was betting that there were a lot of like-minded people out there … You think I like Trump because he’s a nice guy? I’m not electing the deacon of a church. That motherf***er likes to win. He likes to cheat in his f***ing golf game. I want that guy on my team.’
During an appearance on the Real America’s Voice network, actress and comedian Roseanne Barr described Trump as: ‘A dad bear, they’ll go out and kill all the others. That’s one thing and it’s cool. But Trump wraps his arms around us,’ she said.
Barr has long supported the former President and has sparked controversy with her outspoken opinions in recent years.
Speaking on the podcast Triggered with Donald Trump Jr., Barr said: ‘Part of classism is racism, I don’t think anything is going to wake up the Jews and the Blacks who vote Democrat. They’re so severely mind controlled … I don’t think they can get it.’
50 Cent, who previously endorsed Trump in 2016, started trending last Saturday after Trump’s assassination attempt.
He has since put Trump’s face on the cover of his album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ at shows, leading many to believe he is once again supporting the candidate.
Former Atomic Kitten singer and reality star Kerry Katona has made it clear she’s a Trump supporter.
In her column for OK!, she said: ‘I can’t believe the Donald Trump shooting, I think it’s crazy. I know it’s controversial, but I really like him. I don’t agree with everything he says but I do like him for the most part.
‘I think he’s much better than Joe Biden – I could run America better than him,’ she continued.
Proving she was serious about her endorsement, Kerry wrote on X: ‘Hey @realDonaldTrump I’m flying over to come and give you some advice, you up for chat?’
The 2024 US presidential election will take place on November 5.
