The 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards honor the best in fashion, and the American Museum of Natural History in New York City has been glammed up for the event.
Blake Lively, Angel Reese, Darren Criss, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Ella Emhoff, Bravo’s Summer House star Paige DeSorbo, Katie Holmes, Sebastian Stan, and Amy Sedaris are some of the stars that attended the event.
The CFDA Board of Directors is renaming its namesake award to the Isabel Toledo Board of Directors’ Tribute to honor the late Cuban-American talent.
Toledo is being honored posthumously, and her husband, Ruben Toledo, is receiving the newly renamed award. Past recipients include Virgil Abloh, Norma Kamali, Tom Ford, Michelle Obama, and Michael Bloomberg, but moving forward will only recognize designers.
“This year’s nominees and honorees represent the gamut of American fashion creativity and excellence,” Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA said. “As our biggest fundraiser of the year, the CFDA Fashion Awards presented by Amazon Fashion significantly contribute to the CFDA Scholarship Fund to support tomorrow’s generation of designers and future nominees and honorees of this special night and we are grateful to Amazon Fashion for their leadership.”
Erykah Badu will receive the Fashion Icon Award, Daniel Roseberry was named the International Designer of the Year, Michael Kors will be presented with the Positive Change Award, Stephen Burrows is set to receive the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, Annie Leibovitz will be honored with the Media Award, Coach will receive the Innovation Award, and Hamish Bowles will receive the Founder’s Award in Honor of Eleanor Lambert.
