The Kansas City Chiefs announced a return to Frankfurt, Germany, with a new two-day pop-up fan activation, the ChampionsHaus. The exhibit will be active at the Museum of Modern Electronic Music in Frankfurt on Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22, and will provide fans the opportunity to immerse themselves once again in Chiefs Kingdom. The two-day event will feature special appearances by KC Wolf, multiple photo opportunities, as well as a special meet-and-greet session with two-time Super Bowl champion safety Justin Reid during the opening of the activation on Friday, June 21.
“The German fanbase and the city of Frankfurt welcomed us with open arms last season, and we are thrilled to have Justin Reid returning with us to bring the ChampionsHaus activation to life for fans later this month,” Chiefs Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Lara Krug said. “We have focused on connecting with Chiefs Kingdom in Germany, and fans and businesses alike have responded with excitement and passion for our team, our players and our brand. As the NFL continues to expand its global footprint, it is important that we remain active in Germany, even in years when we aren’t scheduled to play in the market.”
Reid will be on-site for the opening session of ChampionsHaus on Friday, June 21, which falls in the middle of UEFA EURO 2024 in Germany. During the session, Reid will participate in a live Q&A with Nadine Nurasyid, German former American football player who is the current Defensive Assistant Coach for the Stuttgart Surge in the European League of Football and a contributor to RTL’s NFL coverage. Fans with tickets during the two-hour grand opening session will have the opportunity to meet Reid and take photos with him. In addition, the Chiefs are partnering with the USO to host an exclusive meet and greet with Reid for military members and their families as well.
“I am so excited to return to Germany this summer and especially honored to be a part of the grand opening of the ChampionsHaus,” Reid said. “Last season was my first time in Frankfurt, and it did not disappoint. I thought the food was excellent, the people were incredible and the environment at our game at Deutsche Bank Park felt like a Super Bowl atmosphere. Absolutely electric! I can’t wait for another opportunity to engage with more Chiefs fans and bring Chiefs Kingdom back to Germany.”
ChampionsHaus guests will also have multiple photo opportunities, including the chance to take a photo with the Lombardi Trophy. There will be a fan vote for best Chiefs song as well as merchandise raffles, offering visitors the opportunity to take home Chiefs gear.
Details and tickets for all sessions are now available online.
