DETROIT – Detroit Lions legend and National Football League Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders is recovering from a heart-related health scare over Father’s Day weekend.
The Lions put out an official statement for the former football star on their Instagram page, where Sanders said he’d suffered the health scare related to his heart.
Sanders said that he will take the opportunity to prioritize his health and well-being during the rest and recovery stage.
