Employees Retirement System of Texas has approved a $50m (€46.3m) commitment to the Igneo North America Diversified Infrastructure Fund.
The fund, managed by Igneo Infrastructure Partners, has a core-plus investment strategy.
The capital raising process for the fund was initiated in the current year, although the targeted capital raise remains undisclosed at this time.
The infrastructure fund will focus on investing in mature mid-market-sized infrastructure assets, specifically targeting transactions with companies located within the US or Canada.
The fund will pursue a diversified investment approach, considering opportunities across various infrastructure sectors, including renewables, digital infrastructure, waste management, water utilities, transportation and logistics.
Igneo Infrastructure Partners did not respond to a request for comment.
