According to the Business of Fashion, many European and Asian retail giants including Mango, Primark, Uniqlo, and Zara plan to open hundreds of stores in the U.S. in the coming years, while major domestic players like Macy’s, Nordstrom, and Express are closing stores and losing customers.
This made us think that while the American fashion industry has long been considered an equal counterpart of the European fashion scene, could this mean that the country’s retail fashion scene will be overshadowed by European and Asian retailers?
