GOOD Morning Football is returning from a month-long hiatus for the 2024 NFL Draft.
The NFL Network show has been off the air since the end of March following an announcement it would relocate from New York City to Los Angeles, California.
GMFB will return on Thursday, April 25 — the day when the first round of the 2024 draft takes place.
It will occupy the usual time slot, 7-10 am ET, on NFL Network.
The show will air again at the same time on Friday and Saturday.
Co-host Peter Schrager said Monday he would cover the draft live from Detroit, Michigan.
He is set to front GMFB alongside longtime partner Kyle Brandt as well as analyst Jason McCourty, NFL reporter Jane Slater, and NFL insider Tom Pelissero.
TV viewers rejoiced after seeing the announcement.
“LET’S GO! I love GMFB,” one wrote.
“Thank you!! Mornings have not been the same at all,” another added.
“Miss the interviews with draft prospects… miss the show so much,” a third said.
“WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!” one wrote.
It appears that the return will be brief and that Good Morning Football will be off again after the draft, though.
The show is expected to undergo some major format changes before it officially re-launches from the West Coast.
But as the program’s NYC days were coming to an end, Brandt did assure fans that GMFB would definitely come back from the hiatus.
“Good Morning Football is not ending, it is expanding,” the sportscaster said during the last episode before the break on March 29.
“And it’s exciting because it’s a bigger show, it’s more show.
“And it’s all the things and the tokens you’ve woken up with for years.
“Angry Runs, Lead Block, Whiteboard Wednesday, Throwdown Thursday, and on and on and on. It’s all in. It’s all happening.”
However, it’s still not clear who will be part of the cast.
Last week, Schrager suggested he was yet not certain of his future with GMFB.
“Good Morning Football is going to be in Los Angeles no matter what,” in an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.
“I’d like to think I’ll have a role in it.
“We’ll see if I’m moving the family and whatnot.”
