NFL Network’s Good Morning Football will make a surprise return after an extended hiatus.
The popular NFL weekday show will have a special episode as the program makes another return to the airwaves.
On Monday, the NFL announced that Good Morning Football will have a special two-hour schedule release special at 7 a.m. ET.
The show will feature the cast of GMFB, which includes Kyle Brandt, Peter Schrager, Jason McCourty as well as NFL Network reporter Sherree Burruss.
The special episode will reveal the NFL’s slate of international games for the 2024 season.
GMFB’s return comes after the program announced in March it would be on hiatus while they move production from New York to Los Angeles.
Host Jamie Erdahl, who is currently on maternity leave, has announced she will continue to appear on the show in the future.
GMFB did make a surprise return to cover the 2024 NFL Draft after reports indicated the football program would be halted until the start of training camp in July.
When it comes to the upcoming season, Fox-owned local TV stations will broadcast a new syndicated edition of GMFB, per the Hollywood Reporter.
The new two-hour extension to the normal show was announced in March and will debut on September 2.
The report added that the new syndicated edition of GMFB will “coexist alongside the NFL Network program” and run from Monday to Friday.
Sony Pictures Television will handle the syndicated edition, which will broadcast to 29 Fox-run TV stations, including in 14 of the top 15 markets.
The show’s host Erdahl appeared to reveal her approval of the development.
“Strong. More @gmfb more places,” Erdahl” she wrote on her X account on Thursday.
The statuses of GMFB’s Brandt, Schrager, and McCourty have yet to be determined.
It’s worth pointing out that all three will appear on Wednesday’s special two-hour schedule release show.
The football show’s time details are also undecided as the program transitions to the West Coast time zone.
GMFB aired at 7 a.m. ET when the show resided in New York City.
