Is the NFL giving rookie QBs a fair chance? Drake Maye responds
Sports Seriously’s Mackenzie Salmon asks NFL draft prospect Drake Maye if the NFL gives quarterbacks a chance to succeed.

The 2024 NFL draft gets underway on Thursday night, and as is the case with the event, the quarterbacks will cause all the chaos.
USC product Caleb Williams is widely expected to go No. 1 overall to Chicago, where Bears fans will hope he’s the answer to their long-standing quarterback conundrum. After that, the NFL draft is up for grabs.
Any order of Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy, UNC’s Drake Maye and LSU’s Jayden Daniels could follow in the top five, with quarterback-needy teams making two of those picks; the Commanders (No. 2) and Patriots (No. 3) are in prime spots to select a passer.
That said, the draft starts at 8 p.m. ET, but it might not actually start until pick No. 4. All eyes will be on Arizona, who hold the fourth selection. The Cardinals are seemingly set at quarterback with Kyler Murray locked in a long-term deal. That makes Arizona a prime trade-down candidate tonight.
Here’s how you can watch the anarchy unfold:
