“American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez” will premiere on FX Tuesday, Sept. 17 with two new episodes beginning at 10 p.m.
Ryan Murphy’s Emmy-winning franchise, ‘American Sports Story’ is based on the podcast Gladiator: Aaron Hernandez and Football Inc. from The Boston Globe and Wondery.
According to FX, the 10-episode limited series charts the rise and fall of NFL superstar Aaron Hernandez and explores the disparate strands of his identity, his family, his career, his suicide and their legacy in sports and American culture.
The miniseries follows former-New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez and his rise to stardom in the NFL, and his fall from grace as a murder suspect and his eventual death.
