The new Hudson River Summer Classic itinerary from American Cruises is reminiscent of their popular Fall Foliage cruise, featuring numerous exciting excursions to cultural sites throughout the Hudson Valley. This new cruise offers a unique opportunity to explore the Hudson Valley during the summer, evoking memories of the region’s historical appeal as a favored summer vacation destination for families and couples. Additionally, the Summer Classics are especially convenient for New Yorkers, with ships departing from Pier 81, located near the Intrepid Museum.
These exclusive Hudson River cruises operate aboard the newest modern riverboats and small ships in the country, featuring 100% private balcony accommodations, spacious and comfortable indoor and outdoor lounges, walking tracks, and world-class amenities. American’s new small ships offer sweeping river views from nearly every space on board, enhancing the scenic journey along the river.
For over a century, the Hudson River Valley has been home to U.S. presidents, industrial magnates, illustrious artists, and notable Gilded Age figures. Rich in history, the region offers numerous historic sites. Local guides and experts will lead guests through the area’s renowned points of interest, including West Point Military Academy, FDR’s Presidential Library & Museum in Hyde Park, the Vanderbilt Mansion, and Lyndhurst. American has successfully completed the initial sailings of the new Hudson River Summer Classics, with the last 2024 cruise concluding in NYC tomorrow, on June 25th. Next year, the company will offer more than triple the number of summer departures, with sailings throughout June, July, and August, in addition to the popular fall departures in late September and October.
