The recent release of Jefferey Epstein’s files has triggered intense backlash, with critics blaming the US government for hiding vital details. Conservative figures asserted that the files were not able to provide crucial information the public has long waited for, as per a report by Independent. Many of them anticipated big disclosure related to Epstein’s network but instead got redacted documents that included previously reported details.
Representative Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican member of the House Oversight Committee, shared her frustration over the release, stating on X, ‘’I along with the task force, did not receive or review the Epstein documents being released today. A recent New York Post report indicates that the release consists merely of Epstein’s contact list. This is NOT what we or the American people asked for. Total disappointment. GET US THE INFORMATION WE ASKED FOR!’’
Former One America New Network anchor Liz Wheeler who got access to the documents stated that the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) was holding back critical proof. In a social media post, she wrote, ‘’We are talking about recordings, names, evidence, juicy stuff. The swamp creatures at SDNY deceived Bondi, Kash, and YOU. The evil deep sated LIED TO YOUR FACE”’.
As speculations around Epstein’s case continue to grow stronger, many are now demanding a full revelation of all the records. Attorney General Pam Bondi hinted that key materials remain hidden. In a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel, she stated, ‘’Late yesterday, I learned that the New York FBI field Office holds thousands of pages of documents related to Epstein’s investigation. Despite repeated requests, these files were never revealed.’’
Bondi has directed the FBI to bring out the full set of Epstein-related files by Friday morning, further also ordering a probe into why her order was not followed. Patel replied, stating, ‘’If there are gaps, we will find them. If records have been hidden, we will uncover them,’’ as reported by Independent.
Among the documents released were the flight list, an evidence list, an erased list of more than 250 entries, and a contact book of Epstein.
The names that have been disclosed in Epstein’s phone record included actor Alec Baldwin, Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, and supermodel Naomi Campbell. As per reports, much of the content had already been made public in previous leaks as well in legal proceedings.
The absence of explosive fresh information has sparked conspiracy theories and dissatisfaction among conservatives, many of them believe that powerful people are being protected. Conservative commentator Glenn Beck shared his concern, stating, ‘’The Epstein files are a total joke. who is subverting POTUS.?”
As the controversy increases, calls for the release of details of Epstein’s records are escalating.
