Harry, known as Harry Tokky on TikTok, recently visited the “oldest” American eatery in Benidorm, and he couldn’t believe what they served up. Not to mention, the price left him stunned
There’s nothing like finding a hidden gem, especially when you’re abroad. After all, sometimes all you want is a comforting meal when you’re on holiday. And nothing says proper grub like a good old-fashioned grill.
During a recent trip to Spain, Harry Tokky visited what’s been described as the “oldest American restaurant in Benidorm”, and the eatery left him rather impressed. He admitted it looked “awesome” before he visited so he couldn’t wait to tuck into what was on offer.
Based on his TikTok review, it’s fair to say he was left pretty impressed. He visited Grill House, which is said to be the “first and best American-themed restaurant” in the popular destination.
In the clip, he said: “The large menu for a big boy. I’m going to go straight in with a steak pleasure. I feel like a king. Steak pleasure has arrived. We’ve got a pitta, we’ve got the steak in there.
“We’ve got lettuce, we’ve got a bit of everything. We’ve got some fries, we’ve got some coleslaw. Can’t have a pitta without the sauce. That was an extremely good meal. 10/10 from me.”
When the bill arrived, he let people see just how much it cost to eat there. It came in at €16 (£13.26), which he thought was “absolutely incredible” for what he ordered.
The video has been viewed hundreds of times since it was shared, and people were quick to comment too. They said all sorts of things about eating in Benidorm.
One replied: “Fantastic food. Service was slow, but they didn’t have many staff when we went.” Another added: “I go there every time I visit Benidorm, and have always had a great meal with good value.”
A third also replied: “We were there last Thursday. Food was lovely and staff friendly.” Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: “Love it in there! Usually go at night though for dinner.”
The Grill House is situated on Avenida Mediterraneo, 33 which runs from the Old Town to the New Town. It’s surrounded by some of the best live entertainment venues in Benidorm. It’s located near Levante beach, and the famous “strip” where the popular British sitcom Benidorm was filmed.
