It was a night of iconic performances in LA, with the stars turning out for the 50th anniversary celebration of the American Music Awards.
The milestone saw plenty of star power, including Green Day, Mariah Carey and Chaka Khan.
Jennifer Lopez made her first virtual award show appearance since divorcing Ben Affleck, reflecting on all the times she’s performed for the show over the past two decades.

“It’s pretty incredible, 50 years of the American Music Awards, I remember watching them at home when I was a little girl,” she told the audience.
“My first performance on the AMA’s was 2001 and music really does have the power to heal and to uplift and to connect us.”
Mariah Carey hit the high notes singing her 2005 hit, We Belong Together and speaking of powerful voices, Jennifer Hudson took to the stage to pay tribute to Whitney Houston.
And Nelly treated fans to a medley of his greatest hits to celebrate the evolution of hip-hop anthems.
