A champion on and off the course, senior Jack Lundin was honored as a second-team Academic All-American on Wednesday, presented by College Sports Communicators.
Named to the most prestigious academic team in college sports, Lundin is the fifth Tiger in program history to collect the accolade – joining Jim Knoesel (1989, third team), Billy Wynn (1989, third team), Peter Malnati (2009, third team) and Euan Walker (2017, second team).
Overall, Lundin is one of 12 golfers in the nation to earn a spot on one of the three national Men’s At-Large teams and just one of three from the SEC.
On the course, Lundin completed one of the best seasons in program history. Named to the PING All-America Second Team, Lundin became the 11th All-American in MU history and the first to land on the second team since Stan Utley in 1983 and 1984. He finished the campaign ranked as the nation’s No. 22 golfer, posting a 69.69 stroke average. His average is a 1.5 stroke improvement from the 2022-23 season, while he also registered the lowest mark by a Tiger since Hayden Buckley in 2017-18 (69.5).
A first-team All-SEC honoree and five-time SEC Golfer of the Week, Lundin won two individual titles as a senior, earning medalist honors at the Hootie at Bulls Bay and Tiger Intercollegiate in back-to-back tournaments during the spring season. Overall, he placed in the top five in seven of his 12 tournaments, while leading Mizzou in scoring nine times in 2023-24.
Off the course, Lundin earned his degree in business administration from Missouri in May. He is also a two-time GCAA All-America Scholar, earning the distinction as a junior and senior.
Lundin finished his three-year career at Mizzou with a 70.73 stroke average. He helped the Tigers advance to the NCAA Championship in all three of his seasons, marking the first time MU qualified in three-consecutive campaigns in its history.
