Japan Airlines (JAL) is now offering complimentary domestic connections for travelers entering from North America.
The policy took effect this week for travelers from the U.S., Canada and Mexico, as well a as Thailand, with implementations for inbound travelers from several other Asia-Pacific countries to follow later this month.

To be eligible, flyers must book their domestic flights as part of the same reservation as the international flight. Separate domestic flight bookings won’t be complimentary.
Flyers from the U.S., Canada and Mexico can receive the free domestic flight as long as the stopover at their first Japan destination is less than 24 hours. Otherwise, they must pay a $100 stopover fee.
