WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Two key pieces to success on the offensive side of the ball for the Kansas State University football team heard their names called Friday night during the second and third rounds of the NFL Draft. The pair of All-Americans will play for division rivals in the NFC East.
First off the board was tight end Ben Sinnott, selected 53rd overall by the Washington Commanders. Sinnott is a reliable pass catcher and standout blocker. In his K-State career, Sinnott caught 82 passes for over 1,100 yards and 10 touchdowns.
In the third round, the Dallas Cowboys selected offensive lineman Cooper Beebe with the 73rd overall pick, In Dallas, Beebe, one of the nation’s top linemen, will reunite with former Wildcat running back Deuce Vaughn.
The 6′3, 322-pound pass protector and lane clearer mostly played left guard with some tackle work last season. He could even jump in at center and compete as the starter for the Cowboys.
