April 17, (THEWILL) – The United States men’s basketball team for the Paris Olympics has been announced, featuring a truly star-studded roster. The lineup is headlined by NBA all-time leading scorer, LeBron James and reigning MVP, Joel Embiid.
This powerhouse team, assembled by USA Basketball, includes a wealth of NBA talent. Joining James and Embiid are Los Angeles Lakers’ Anthony Davis, Phoenix Suns’ three-time Olympic champion Kevin Durant, and Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry. The squad also features Bam Adebayo (Miami Heat), Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns), Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves), Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers), Jrue Holiday (Boston Celtics), Kawhi Leonard (L.A. Clippers), and Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics).
This formidable lineup boasts an impressive collective resume, with all 12 members being NBA All-Stars. The team also includes four NBA MVPs and six NBA champions, underscoring the depth of talent on display.

The US team will face stiff competition in Group C, with Serbia, South Sudan, and the winner of a qualifying tournament in Puerto Rico on August 3. The Paris Olympics are scheduled for July 26 to August 11, and the world will be watching as this star-studded American squad takes the court amid other competitions.
