After Joe Biden announced that he would be stepping down from the presidential race in the upcoming US elections of 2024 and endorsed Kamala Harris, the incumbent VP has become a top social media trend. As the prospect of her becoming president becomes increasingly material, one of her key attributes – her broad, infectious laughter, has become the center of attention.
As opposed to Donald Trump‘s ‘Make America Great Again,’ social media users started posting videos and photos of the all-too-familiar laughter of Kamala Harris with the tagline: “Make America Laugh Again.”
Here are some of the posts:
“Make America Laugh Again is trending. Mood,” one user wrote.
“Make America Laugh Again,” wrote another, along with a video of Harris laughing to Trump’s gaffes.
“Make America Laugh Again,” another said.
After Harris was endorsed by Biden on Sunday, the 59-year-old said on X that she would do her best to defeat Trump. She also thanked the Joe Biden for his ‘extraordinary leadership’ as POTUS.
“On behalf of the American people, I thank Joe Biden for his extraordinary leadership as President of the United States and for his decades of service to our country,” Harris wrote on X. “I am honored to have the President’s endorsement and my intention is to earn and win this nomination.
“I will do everything in my power to unite the Democratic Party—and unite our nation—to defeat Donald Trump and his extreme Project 2025 agenda. If you’re with me, add a donation right now.”
Notably, in the upcoming Democratic National Convention, the delegates will decide if they will go with the new presumptive Republican nominee or nominate a new face for November. Since the endorsement, Harris has raised a record $81 million in just 24 hours.
