On Sunday, Sept. 29, the Milesburg American Legion hosted a Quilts of Valor ceremony to honor eight veterans for their service. The Happy Valley Quilts of Valor Centre County chapter, based in Centre Hall, presented and wrapped the eight veterans with handmade quilts, noting that no two quilts that are made are alike. The ceremony was attended by over 150 friends and family with two television crews on hand to record the event. After the presentation, a buffet style meal was served.
