Morgan Riddle posted a heartfelt message to her partner Taylor Fritz after he lost to Jannik Sinner in the final of the US Open.
Fritz went down 6-3, 6-4, 7-5 in the New York showpiece on Sunday. And his partner of four years took to social media in the aftermath to express her pride, making clear that she is the American star’s “biggest fan”.
Riddle and Fritz have been together since 2020 when they met on a celebrity dating app. The 27-year-old influencer has since made waves in the tennis world by taking fans behind the scenes of the sport, as well as for several controversial comments.
Posting on Instagram after Fritz’s defeat at Flushing Meadows, Riddle showed her compassionate side as she put up a photo of her boyfriend and Sinner at the trophy presentation.
In a caption that speaks volumes about their relationship, she wrote: “What an amazing week @taylor_Fritz. I could not be more proud of you and grateful to support you. Your dedication and drive inspires me so much every day, forever your biggest fan.”
Away from life with her tennis star beau, Riddle achieved fame on TikTok, where she now has more than 500,000 followers. She was also once branded the ‘most famous woman in men’s tennis’ by the New York Times.
Riddle also made headlines during this year’s Wimbledon when Fritz’s fourth round opponent Alexander Zverev appeared to take exception to her boisterous celebrations in the players’ box.The model then courted further controversy when she made several social media posts seemingly aimed at German star. However, she deleted them shortly after andclaimed it was all a “misunderstanding”.
Riddle has also appeared in the Netflix series Break Point, along with Fritz, which focused on tennis players as they competed in Grand Slam tournaments. Back in 2022, in a now-deleted video, the social media star had claimed that she was “on a personal mission to make tennis cool again.”
While well-received by some, she faced backlash for her comments on the status of tennis in the USA after she declared that the game “is relatively uncool and unknown in America”.
However, Fritz defended his girlfriend when quizzed about the video and insisted he was a big supporter of her mission to bring tennis to the masses. “I think what she did was awesome for our sport. It got a ton of people looking at it,” he said. “I think you get your typical older fan who may be upset about it. I don’t understand how anyone can get upset about it.
Growing up in Minneapolis before moving to New York, Riddle graduated from Wagner College with an English degree in 2019. She initially worked as an estate agent before finding work with social media and marketing companies. However in 2022, Riddle left her job to produce tennis-related content. Along with her army of followers on TikTok, she also has 300,000 on Instagram.
Riddle also hosted the Wimbledon Threads fashion series last year and has been prominent on social media throughout the grand slam events, where she can be often seen in the players’ box supporting Fritz.
