NFL fans were impressed with the EA Sports College Football 25 gameplay trailer.
And the same fans think the new college football video game already has better quality than the Madden NFL series.
On Friday, EA Sports released an in-depth breakdown of the heavily anticipated College Football 25 game.
The upcoming game marks the franchise’s return after nearly 10 years of absence and will be the first game in the series to feature officially licensed player likeness due to NIL money.
ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit narrated the breakdown and revealed numerous new features in the new game.
The commentator shared that the video game will include “a host of new mechanics to deliver the explosive, fast-paced gameplay unique to college football.”
A highlight showed Kansas Jayhawks running back Devin Neal hurdling over an opposing linebacker while Herbstreit made the comment.
The trailer was nearly five minutes long as NFL fans claimed that the game “looked nothing like Madden” and praised the graphics and fluidity of the players.
“I was expecting a Madden reskin tbh….this looks way better,” one commented.
“Looks literally 10x better than Madden lol,” another said.
“This looks so good man. Blown away by the graphics,” a third wrote.
The game will have more than 80 players’ traits to augment gameplay.
Among them will be to respond better to high-pressure situations and identify oncoming blitzers.
The game will also include an extensive new injury system called Wear and tear which will show specific injury effects of each play.
Home-field advantage will return to the game as players can test their team’s road game composure and confidence levels with distractions like screen shaking, among others.
Weather conditions also play a huge role in adding challenge to College Football 25.
The game will also feature more variety in playbooks than the Madden series – which can also be a true of how things work in college football compared to the NFL.
College Football 25’s cover was released earlier this month, with Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, Michigan running back Donovan Edwards, and Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter appearing on the front of the game.
EA Sports also announced that all 134 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) teams can be used to play in the game.
College Football 25 is slated to be released for PS5 and Xbox Series X on July 19.
The standard base game costs $69.99.
EA Sports also offers the deluxe edition, priced at $99.99 and allows three-day early access and a bunch of perks, and the MVP bundle, which costs $149.99 and includes an early release for College Football 25 and Madden NFL 25.
