The battle to be Breece Hall’s backup will be one of the most contentious competitions in Jets training camp.

Isaiah Davis may have the disadvantage compared to Braelon Allen in terms of notoriety from the collegiate ranks, but he could be more productive in the pros.

Davis ran for 4,548 yards and 50 touchdowns in a run-heavy system at South Dakota State, a program that has been one of the FCS’ elite for quite some time.

Davis had over 1,450 yards in each of his last two seasons. That could be a concern because of all the wear already on his legs, but it’s also a promising sign for how can contribute to the Jets offense.
