GREENWOOD, Ind. – North Florida women’s soccer’s Zara Siassi received yet another postseason accolade, being named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Third-Team, as announced by the national organization Wednesday, Dec. 11. 

Siassi becomes the first player in program history to be honored with CSC Academic All-American distinctions after being named to the United Soccer Coaches All-American Fourth-Team back on Dec. 6. She was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team on Nov. 19. 

She is just one of seven student-athletes from mid-major schools nominated to the All-America team and is just one of two Atlantic-Sun student-athletes honored, joining Lipscomb forward Kiara Pralle. 

“To be recognized for your successes on the field and in the classroom is the highest honor a student-athlete can receive.” head coach Eric Faulconer said. “Zara has accomplished so much during her career at UNF and this is just another honor born from hard work and commitment. It is very fitting that Zara is the first ever CSC Academic All-America selection in UNF women’s soccer program history. She is just remarkable in every sense of the word.” 

Fourteen of the 33 members of the Academic All-America® Division I women’s soccer teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The 12 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.93, with the entire Division I team holding a collective average GPA of 3.92.

Siassi has been recognized for both her performances on the pitch and in the classroom in 2024, being named to the All-ASUN First-Team and ASUN Defensive Player of the Year, while garnering Academic All-ASUN selections. She also set the all-time program record for games started with 82 career starts to her name. Siassi also broke the program record for games played and started in the Division I era.
