Black Friday has been labelled the biggest shopping day of the year.

Originating in the US, it became synonymous with crowds of people charging into supermarkets to buy cheap televisions and other household items.

In more recent years Black Friday deals have mostly moved online and retail giants such as Amazon describe the event as the biggest sale day of the year.

This year Black Friday falls on 29 November but it has become much more of a month-long sales event.

American Golf has one of the biggest Black Friday sales in the golfing world, with discounts on clubs, bags, clothes and balls throughout November.

The American Golf sale has been renamed as Black November and the sales have started here. We take a look at the best deals in the American Golf Black Friday sale.

Best golf driver deals

The biggest driver discounts can be found on Cobra, TaylorMade, Callaway and Titleist. You can see the full list here.

The pick of the deals include £170 off the Callaway King LTDx MAX golf driver, which is 43% off the standard price. Meanwhile, one of the cheapest drivers in the deal is the Wilson Deep Red Maxx Driver, which is down to just £89 in the sale.

The TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus Golf Driver is a good choice if you want a club that delivers speed but is forgiving. An ideal high end driver for beginners, it is down from £579 to £379.

Best golf ball deals

The Titleist Pro V1 is used by many of the world’s best players.

World No.1 Scottie Scheffler says: “It was the best ball when I was introduced to it, everybody wanted to play Titleist and still to this day I feel like everybody wants to play Titleist and you see the consistency over time. You’re always playing a different type of shot. Rarely am I just hitting a straight up stock shot, you’re always trying to do a little something with the ball.”

A 12-pack has been reduced by 14%. It now costs £42.99, down from £50, for one of the best balls on the market.

Other ball deals include a pack of 12 Wilson DUO balls for just £17.99, and Fazer XR4 Distance balls for just £12.99 at the cheaper end of the scale.

Best irons deals

You can get discounts on Cobra, TaylorMade, Benross, Callaway and Wilson deals on sets of irons in the American Golf Black Friday sale.

The pick of these deals are the Fazer XR2 irons, a chunky set that have a quality feel but are extremely forgiving for beginners. You can get them for £129, a significant discount on the £249 RRP. If you are looking for a first set of irons, this is the best deal on the American Golf website for Black Friday.

Best golf bag deals

There are hundreds of deals on golf trolleys, bags, GPS watches, sunglasses and more. The pick of these deals is a Callaway Warbird Golf Cart Bag. The premium, high quality bag is reduced from £189 to just £129.

The bag has seven pockets, with six zipped and another for drinks. It includes an umbrella holder and towel loop and the main section has 14-way dividers for your golf clubs.

The deal is an exclusive for American Golf, meaning you can only get it on the Black Friday section of the American Golf website.
