American Airlines has topped the list of domestic US carriers who will not cancel flights in December.
A new study by the eSIM travel company, Airalo, analyzed December flight data over the past two years.
They found that the primary reasons for flight cancellations include air carrier delay, late arrival of an aircraft, a larger national aviation system delay, and extreme weather conditions.
They found that American Airlines cancels only 0.8 percent of their year-end flights, making them superior to all other airlines.
In December 2022 and December 2023, American Airlines canceled only 1,210 flights.

Delta Air Lines trailed third, having canceled a total of 1,873 flights or 1.19 percent of their end-of-year schedule.
They were followed by JetBlue. While JetBlue canceled only 548 flights, it accounted for 1.21 percent of their schedule.
