A handful of college football legends will be available for fans to use in College Football 25 this week.
EA Sports announced Saturday that Tim Tebow, Randy Moss, Darrelle Revis, Ray Lewis, Marshall Faulk, Pat White, Brian Urlacher and Booger McFarland will be among the first “legends” introduced into the game’s CFB Ultimate Team feature on Sunday.
The college football greats will be part of the Big Man on Campus Champions collection, and players can collect all of the cards in the collection to earn Tebow’s 90 overall card.
CFB Ultimate Team allows players to craft a team made up of current and former college football stars and take on other teams in various game modes. The game mode is familiar to fans of Madden, but none of EA Sports’ former college games had Ultimate Team.
EA Sports College Football 25 was released earlier this week after 11 years of waiting. The last game, NCAA 14, came out in 2013 and fans have been anticipating the new game for more than a decade.
EA Sports was forced to shelf its college sports games due to name, image and likeness restrictions, but after the NCAA changed its NIL policies ahead of the 2021 college football season, a new rendition of the beloved game began development.
Now, as fans continue to make up for the last 11 years of not having a college football game, they’ll have a chance to play with legendary players like Tebow, Moss and others.
